In a national comparison of medical science degree courses, our students rank regularly amongst the top 5 for the first state exam and amongst the top 10 for the second state exam.
Due to the rising student numbers in medical science in the 1960s, a decision was made to involve the municipal hospitals in training medical students. The Mannheim Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University was founded as a result.
